RIP
Nick Adenhart was only three weeks older than I am now. Theres one main thing that differed between us though, he was a major league pitcher...
was...
he had just pitched the best game of his young career, six shut out innings...
he had been with the angel's organization for four years and Angel's manager Mike Scioscia said he had grown more in those four years than anyone else
and now its all gone...
because someone with a suspended license stemming from drunk driving in 2006
who had his probation extended because of violations to that probation
had to run a red light
with his blood alcohol content three times the legal limit
today he was charged with three counts of murder, driving under the influence, and leaving the crime scene... but it all comes too late, three people are dead
my heart goes out to the angel's organization
to their pitching staff
and to torii hunter... who has to run out to center field every home game looking at Nick Adenhart's likeness emblazoned on the center field wall
I wish i could go to the anaheim memorial and contribute, and pay respects, because even though I never knew him or have ever had anything to do with anyone in major league baseball, sports are near and dear to me, and when tragedy strikes it hurts my heart too

the quarter so far
animal learning lab is awesome. Its known as the rat lab to those of you not in the psychology loop. I named my rat rhino... anyone seen bolt?
Spanish 103... i still don't like speaking aloud in spanish, but I don't feel as bad when i hear other people speak heh
Psych 470- psych and music. This class is pretty sweet, although its gonna be a lot of work. Its basically a seminar class thats not considered a seminar, everyone has to do a research project and present it.
I made it through my entire college education without having to do a presentation in front of the class, and now i get an old fashioned professor HA, lame
besides that, started to work out. Finally have time to make it to the ima during the day, yay for 2 hour break. Keep playin basketball, keep rolling my ankle, finally time to get an ankle brace.
Next week, April 14, Wong Fu Productions comes to the HUB, yay for re-release tickets. Thats also me and jamella's 4 months :D
that weekend, FASA conference WOO

starting with a bang
the start to spring has been awesome. I've been craving the sun and warmth for so long now
yesterday jamella and I went kayaking on greenlake. One hour for 14 dollars, kind of a steep price but well worth it, went all the way across. We ate at cheesecake factory and then went to gameworks too yaayy
today was a great day too, lunch with matt and rachtha on the ave, showed my parents and my uncle around campus, got to see the cherry blossoms. Then at home we chilled out for a bit before all of us, plus matt rachtha and nala walked all the way around greenlake. That puppy is a chick magnet for reals. I'm not sure what i'm more surprised at, that my parents went all the way around the lake, or that nala made it almost all the way around, she stopped to lay down randomly... a lot
the unc-michigan st game, yea i called that one as i'm sure most of you did
the mariners game WOOOO GRIFFEY'S BACK BABY, hopefully he hits well this year and stays healthy, hey the mariners are tied for first right now
